creepy crawlers

The boys are becoming climbers.
(gulp!)

Lately they like climbing up onto the heater to see out the window.

And Logan realized that the laundry basket full of books got him even higher to see even more out the window.

Smarty pants!!!

we heart daddy

We are in Week 5 of Josh's fall semester at WSU-Vancouver.
He is taking seven classes. SEVEN! And is interning at an elementary school twice a week. This means that some mornings, he sees the boys only from 7:00-7:10am. And doesn't see them again until the next day.
We know this is short term, and life will be better next semester when he's student teaching, and even better when he is DONE... but that does not mean it's been easy.

Until then, we are squeezing every possible moment of time together in.
Today he came home for 45 minutes between his internship & his classes. The boys were so happy to see him, and so was I.
We miss him.
We love him.
And we are proud of him.

good news... so far

Carol spoke with her doctor after her CAT scan,
and so far, no cancer.
Lymph nodes- clear
Blood test- clear

Hallelujah!

We'll know more after her next appointment.
But I must say we are all filled with
HOPE

all the cunningham's together

{Logan}
We got together at Julie's house this afternoon.
We had lots of fun.

{Jack}

{Daddy & Jack}

{Jack & Logan}
Rebecca & Mariah were oh-so-helpful watching/playing with the boys. It's awesome to have family get-togethers because I get a break when everyone pitches in.

{Ethan & Jack}
Mariah & Rebecca aren't the only cousins who love to spend time with Logan & Jack. Julie's boys are great helpers, too.

{Logan}
He & I spent some one on one time together on Julie's trampoline. He giggles & bounces all around.

{mommy & logan}
...a self portrait of me & my bub.

{Jack}
While Logan & I jumped on the trampoline, Jack enjoyed playing ball with the big boys.

{Logan}
All that playing today gave Logan a serious appetite. He ate one & a half PB & J sandwiches for dinner!
~
I wanted to mention with this post that the boys were overjoyed to see Grandma Carol at Julie's. They clung to her for a good ten minutes when we first got there. I found that quite heartwarming.
I also wanted to mention how amazing my family is. Julie & Andrea have both offered to watch the boys any time that Carol isn't able to. Between the two of them, my mom and my sister, I know we will get through. Having the boys in good hands is an amazing blessing.
Prayers for Carol tomorrow as she has her CAT scan.
Benign.

sweet sunday

Ooh, snuggles!

and squishes...

This morning the boys slept in until 7:30!!!
(And only woke up once in the night!)
So when they wanted to bring their bubs & binks out of the nursery, I didn't give a hoot. I am one happy mama with ten hours of sleep under my belt!

For breakfast we had our whole wheat waffles & grape jam- a favorite around here.
We also had Multi-grain Cheerios & Whole Milk.
Yum!

They think it's hilarious when I have them face each other like this. I think they just like being able to kick each other! Little bugs!

Good breakfast, mom!

Mmm, mmm, good!

My Jack.
That sweet face is worth waking up for.

Eat, eat, eating.

Mommy's little Bogey Boy.
He's my squishable bub.

After breakfast with mommy, daddy woke up & read stories with the boys. They love Go Dogs Go!, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and Peek-A-Who?!?

I just thought this was too precious!

Then, of course, we had music lessons. Logan is working on the drum.

He's pretty good, really. (Jack is more into the tambourine, although I didn't catch any pics of him.)
~
All in all, a great Sunday morning with Josh & the boys.

week two & a heavy heart

The four of us survived our second week of daddy at school, mommy at work, and babies with grandma's. We made it, but barely. We are exhausted out of our minds.
The boys have runny noses and are teething (top left, maybe canines?/maybe molars?) and are NOT sleeping through the night like the good little boys they were last week. Between the stress from work, our new schedule & my lack of zzz's, I thought I was on empty.
Then on Thursday we found out that Josh's mom, my mother-in-law, the boys' amazing grandma, has a growth in her abdomen. That's all we know so far, and that's been enough to send us all off the edge a bit.
Hopefully next week, after a few follow up appointments, we will know more.
Until then, we are praying.
For peace, for hope, for rest.

Join me.
In prayer.
For the whole Cunningham clan.

When I know more, you'll know more.

34 weeks... a comparison

My sister four days past 34 weeks.

Myself (with Josh) two days past 34 weeks.

It's so funny because I did not think I was that big at the time. But now looking back, I realize that I looked like a HOUSE! I look like I am 52 weeks pregnant. Like maybe there is a five year old in there, looking for the way out. Ha!
I just thought it would be a fun comparison. Although, perhaps more flattering to my sister than to me!

be still my heart

{get ready... cause here comes some heart-stopping cuteness!}
I was looking at my beautiful boys tonight in the bath tub, and I couldn't believe that they are mine.
Everyday I get to wake up, walk into their room and kiss their sweet, cherubic cheeks.

When I come home from work, I am greeted to by two grinning toddlers who are as happy to see me as I would be to see a million dollar check with my name on it.

Everyday they are learning.
Sponges, I tell you!

Talking all the time (mooing, meowing...), signing all the time (more, milk...) and laughing all the time (at me, Josh, each other...)

They love to swim.
They love to run.
They love to hide.

They are independent.
They are codependent.

They do their own thing.
They copy each other.

They are their own dichotomy.
And I am loving every minute that I get to sit here & witness it.

Sometimes they sooo look the same.
And other times they could not (!) look more different.

They are the perfect mix of Josh & myself.
But they are also their own perfect selves.

Logan is my {baby} boy.
And Jack is my {baby} boy.

They just melt me.
Be still my heart.

growing up

Our little bubs are growing up:
-They both wave bye-bye now
-They both can say "bye-bye" now
-They can both "moo" like a cow
-Logan blows kisses
-They both were pretending to give themselves medicine today
(They were sick last weekend, so medicine was a daily event)
-They blow bubbles in the water

And they continuously {always} melt my heart
