Josh & his brother and sister went away to the beach for a short trip last weekend, and came back raving about the super fun miniature golf they played. So they decided we all needed to get in on the fun. Last night we did just that.
We headed to Steakburger and played 36 holes.
Laura noticed this petunia, standing out among the marigolds. Reminded me of Josh. The quote on his blog comes to mind: "Do not go where the path may lead; go instead where there is no path and leave a trail." -Ralph Waldo Emerson
His sister Christine kept score for us.
Samuel won the first 18 holes.
Wyatt was a perfect angel the whole time.
I am one lucky mama!
I pretty much suck at golf, and celebrated getting it in two shots the way some people would celebrate a hole in one!
Laura has a very distinctive, aggressive golf swing that actually did her quite proud!
My sweet baby
He had so much fun.
We all did.
Julie missed some of the game holding Wyatt for me.
She loves that boy!
Andrea, too, can hit a golf ball!
The siblings in reverse birth order:
Samuel, Laura, Josh, Andrea, Christine & Julie

"Why can't we get all the people together in the world that we really like and then just stay together? I guess that wouldn't work. Someone would leave. Someone always leaves. Then we would have to say good-bye. I hate good-byes. I know what I need. I need more hellos."

"Memories, like the corners of my mind. Misty water-colored memories of the way we were. Scattered pictures, of the smiles we left behind." I'm so glad we went, for the laughs, for the pictures, and the memories.
ReplyDeleteI love the quote and agree we all need more hellos! Great pics of your family, too!
