worry

"There is nothing that wastes the body like worry,
and one who has any faith in God should be ashamed to worry about anything whatsoever."
-Mahatma Gandhi

I have been worrying over where we are going to stay this summer... Wondering if we can find a place that's furnished, if we can afford a hotel, if we can furnish an apartment... Wondering if we should stay in town (Vancouver) or at the coast (in Rockaway)... Wondering if we will have neighbors too close, or none at all.

Wondering,
and worrying.

It's getting old.

The last time I spoke with my grandma she said that if worse comes to worse, we can stay with her, which put peace in my soul.  She also mentioned that her neighbor may be able to rent us her place at the beach for June and July, and my heart has been all aflutter ever since.

I am so excited envisioning our family in a little beach cottage, playing in the sand, watching movies on Friday nights, cooking yummy dinners to share with my grandparents, and traveling back to town for sleepovers at my mom or sisters-- late night girl talks, taking our boys swimming and laughing together again, finally.

I finally got excited about summer.

We have loads of exciting plans!
Camping
A pool party birthday
Hiking
Swimming at the Washougal
Wyatt's 2nd birthday
Fireworks on the 4th of July
{hopefully} a Mariner's game in Seattle with our boys
Visiting the water park (& sweet baby Caleb) in Moses Lake
& finally making the trek to Montana for Josh's master's degree orientation

Plus a million playdates, dinners out and trips to the grocery store where there will always be whip cream!

{I spy with my little eye... two little boys!}
My sister also has a potential place, one house away from hers (!!!), that we are anxiously awaiting a call back on.  Being in town means I could see all my friends, take the kids to the library and visit every park Vancouver has to offer. Plus, being so close to my sister would mean plenty of little-boy-cousin time, and lots of energy burning walks to her local park.

We just cannot wait to see what God has in store for us.  Once housing is set in stone, I think I might just explode from the anticipation!

  4. If it eases your mind even more, the master bedroom in my house is available if you need a place to stay in Vancouver. ;] I'm not exactly sure if you and Josh would prefer to sleep with all of your kids on one bed, but that sounds like some fun, quality, family time. :D
