Officers Row

The boys & I have taken to spending mornings riding bikes & pushing Wyatt in the stroller at Officers Row.  Last time we rode all the way from the gazebo to the overpass bridge above I-5.

Standing on the bridge looking out at the beautiful place I live, I realized I am really going to miss it here.

The boys love our bike rides and are such good listeners.

They stop & wait for me when I ask, and are careful (mostly) to not run over pedestrians.

After our bike ride, I let them run around like crazy in the gazebo.

 I wore them out!

It's a beautiful place, and holds lots of memories for us.

My grandfather built the gazebo's on Officers Row. (Or at least I think that's what my mom said.) He even used the form to build my siblings & I a playhouse when we were younger.

And in addition to that connection, this gazebo is also the place my sister married her sweetheart in 2006.

And where we took family pictures in 2009.

I love spending time there with my boys.

Our first family picture (when Dallas was a baby) was taken at the picnic table next to the gazebo, wasn't it?

That's awesome you've been taking the boys out on bike rides, they always have energy to burn and it's good to enjoy these beautiful, warm mornings while we still have them.
