The picture of me below sits on my grandma's armoire in her bedroom at the beach. We went to see her recently & she brought it out to show her friend how naughty I was.

My children do not fall far from their family tree. In the picture above we were heading in to celebrate my dad's 27th birthday at The Spaghetti Factory, and I was being super naughty, throwing rocks at him. My mom said he would often tell her, "She's just so damn cute!" when I was being bad.
My kids also have their naughty moments. Like Jack recently sneaking candy. He is constantly sneaking sweets off Grandma Carol's counter and stepping into the living room to devour them in order to avoid detection. I used to sneak sips of my mom's Diet Coke whenever she would leave the room. That sweet syrupy soda tickling the back of my throat as I kept my eyes pealed for her return.
In addition to being naughty & sneaky, I also think my kids look a lot like I did. I used to only think Jack did, but the picture of Logan above is proof that he does, too.
We also share a deep devotion for our grandmothers & a complete lack of body awareness. I swear Jack has no idea where his backside or appendages are. Just like his mother. When I was only eight years old I was dancing on the curb & fell over, breaking my wrist at the growth plate.
Here's hoping the boys pick up some of my good attributes as well as these not so great ones.
