Yesterday my big boys turned six. Next year we will start first grade. They ride bikes without training wheels, have two loose teeth, and can make their own raisin toast for breakfast. While I can't believe they aren't toddlers anymore, I am loving six.
Here are some fun pictures of my twins from their birthday.
And here are some of me & my guys:
I love them all, so I couldn't pick just one!
I am so lucky to be their mom!!!

hi shelly,
happy birthday to your beautiful boys!
nosey reader question for you: will they be attending first grade with the other children in Marshall or continue staying home with you for their education? I only ask, because I was homeschooled (and turned out fine, thankyouverymuch!), but I always felt like I missed out on the "school experience" that other children got to have. also, it just seems so important that children, especially living in such a isolated, rural place that is so far from family, have that fundamental experience with others their age outside of the home even more. socializing on a daily basis, through learning, is something I think gets taken for granted. although, I realize that you are a trained educator and would be home alone all day if the kiddos were away for the school day, it still seems important that all children get that experience if they can. I'm just wondering, how long are you planning on keeping them homeschooled? thanks in advance for your answers :)

p.s. I hope you don't mind my nosiness. I come from a place of respect and notice that you've always been so open and honest on your blog, which is one of the reasons why I enjoy it so much.
Are they the cutest boys ever or what? You are a lucky mom and they are very lucky boys to be in such a great, loving family. Good job on raising great kids! The world needs more well raised kids. Glad you all are enjoying your summer. You take fabulous photos. They will be priceless proof of all of the fun times and happiness your family share.
I love your blog. Thank you for sharing your exciting life with us and letting us enjoy it vicariously. I love Alaska but am not strong enough to survive life up there. I think your children are very blessed with the kind of life you are giving them.
What beautiful boys. Glad to see you enjoying every minute of their childhood. They grow up way too quick!
