Nanny came over & did baths tonight. She put the boys hair into shampoo mohawks. They were so funny! (The boys were grouchy cause they were so tired)

I love when my mom comes over. It's fun to see her interact with the boys and see the fun things she comes up with. Before baths, for instance, she gave the boys laundry basket rides. Who knew that would be such a hit!?!
That's what grandma's are for!

LOADING THE DISHWASHER THE BOY WAY

Step One: Test the strength of the dishwasher door

Step Two: Pull as hard as you can on the detergent slot lid

Step Three: Take turns pulling out the upper & lower trays, occasionally running over your brothers fingers and/or knocking your standing brother onto his bum.

And Step Four: Make Mommy smile because she has two adorable sons & the dishwasher bought her enough time to make pork chops & rice for dinner.

The boys had a lot of fun in Nanny's wagon. It was nostalgic for me to watch the boys being pulled by my mom in that wagon because I grew up watching my little brother Dallas being pulled in it. I remember we always took the wagon camping, and he would often fall asleep in it, bent in half, head resting on his knees. The boys look just like Dallas did when he was little- blonde, blue eyes, chubby legs. He is the sole reason I was okay with having boys. I loved him so much growing up. And now I love my boys so much!

AN AFTERNOON WITH NANNY & PAPA

I spent much of the school year imagining the summer, and so far, it has been spot on. We have been going on walks, playing at parks, getting together with friends & the boys have spent lots of time with grandma & nanny. Monday afternoon the boys & I went to my parents house and we played with Auntie Roxanne, Papa & Nanny.

The boys had a great time in Rockaway visiting my grandparents & playing on the beach. We ate, we laughed, we took pictures & we relaxed. It was a great way to kick start the summer.
