Four Months Old

4 months ago, this baby boy joined our family.  I struggled to bring him into this world for nearly 24 hours. Finally he was taken via c-section & immediately met his daddy.  At the time I could hardly open my eyes to see him.
Now I spend a large majority of everyday just staring at him.
Taking in his bright blue eyes, jowely cheeks & delicious leg chubs.

I love his dimple & his new blond hair that is coming in shiny like an angelic halo.

I love to hear him snoring as he sleeps, and I adore nursing him. His body snuggled in close to mine while he eats, his tiny fingers wrapped around my t-shirt in a fist.

I love when he smiles at me, laughs with me... I also love when someone else is holding him and he tracks me as I walk around the room. This boy adores me, and to be the subject of such adoration is a beautiful thing.

We've spent the last three days with his Daddy who is equally in love with him.  Josh asked tonight if he could bring Wyatt home to Marshall with him. He asked me this as Wyatt was snuggled up, sleeping on his chest.  As a wife, there is nothing more tender than seeing your husband with your baby in his arms.  Knowing that no one in the world loves that precious bundle the way the two of you do.

Our little buddy can't fall asleep on his own yet, so we have been taking turns rocking him to sleep.  And he's not on a schedule yet.  But all of this will change when I get home. I'll be working on teaching him to fall asleep independently, and also I'll be working on nailing down a nap & feeding schedule so I can better predict his needs and also get him less interrupted nap time.

He's an amazing traveler and this has been such a special time for the three of us. I am so glad we got the opportunity to come here, see Josh and spend time together. Next time Daddy sees him he will be six months old!  We can't wait!
