I read Migrations by Charlotte McConaghy and really loved it - probably in my top 3 of the year. It's still with me actually and I think of it pretty regularly. Looks like her other one is worth a read too since it's your best book of the year and girrrrrl, you read some books - so that's a worthy recommendation!
