On Thursday night, two days before our departure, the school hosted its Spring Carnival. I made cupcakes for the cake walk, and brought the boys over to meet up with Josh (and the other teachers) who were running the carnival with the help of some student volunteers.
My boys had a tremendous time and it was the most fun I have had yet in the village. I am at a point where I know many of the families (and at least most of the children) and it makes mingling at the school events so fun!
I just love these people and these kids. I love how their faces light up when they see my boys, how sweet they are to them, and how they love my husband. I love the smiles & hugs I get, and when the students excitedly ask if we're coming back next year. (We are.)
I am so grateful for this Marshall family. For the community we have here, for the fun we can have together, and for the niche we have found for ourselves in this village.
